Airtime, A LOT of questions....
... patching in a half-assed autodj like that is indeed a hack It honestly doesn't properly help anyone because it functions completely under the Airtime UI radar. If you're going to go to the trouble of hand-editing scripts and LS config …

All of the other stations use 1. -- so you should use 11. -- louder is always better \m/

Trying new stuff.
That's weird! We use SFTP to bypass the web uploader madness. Wonder if the validator is tripping over something?

Backup Airtime
You don't want to even try. The best solution is to install it to a vps that has imaging capabilities and to start fresh whenever possible like voisses mentioned. Sorry...

100 Free Andriod Apps For Radio Station
iOS streams live HTML5 audio in the background and even has a control for play/pause on the lock screen. Also has a button to route audio to filthy closed proprietary airplay devices. Check it out! :D

Take that ball of energy and put it into making a simple and elegant html5 mobile web app framework that'll make a cute little home screen icon for both Android and your beloved iOS! Is that even possible on Android? Most radios won't want…

Airtime 2.5.1 and TuneIn
And it sucks because sometimes there's a spaced hyphen in artist, track, and/or album names. Which is why it should be reporting each piece separately over to Icecast in the first place. Icecast has the support! Huge pet peeve of mine...

Any way to so sort by filename in order to make a playlist?
Use an ID3 tagging utility to shift all of your file name data over to proper tags instead.

384kbps MPEG-1 Layer II? For why!? Do you have a small ship anchored off shore somewhere quietly spitting bits at the mainland? :)

[Solved?] Do you experts know any internet radio stream/automation software that supports ALAC/FLAC?
That second "FLAC" is likely a typo. It might work if the ogg.liq script was duplicated and changed to call FLAC instead. But then as you mention, icecast still wouldn't distribute it without some work there, too.

You're barking up the wrong tree. Previewing essentially passes along the raw assets to the browser without transcoding. FLAC files do indeed work as source files. Just can't preview them. Sorry, go complain to Mozilla about that.

John already nailed it -- blame poor browser support NOT Team Sourcefabric ...but listeners will hear those FLAC files transcoded over to one of the supported streaming formats just fine :)

Another approach to TuneIn (Icecast playlist)
Yeah, after taking a look at the yp stuff myself, this is the best route to take rather than adding it to airtime/liquidsoap.

And I've typed it before and I'll type it again and again and again -- putting private airtime on the same public box with a public facing website is a security disaster just waiting to happen.

What about duplicating the yp pinging mechanism in the icecast source, only hitting air.radiotime.com with some http get love instead?
