new problem with 1.9.4.12 on 10.4 (ubuntu)
That error only happens if your install is broken, or you are trying to run the script manually from the terminal. What is the output of airtime-check-system?

SOLVED apt-get install airtime (1.9.4-12) on Debian Squeeze fails
Looks like everything is running fine, although it looks like we have a bug in our package installer when Airtime is already installed (looks like you ran the installer multiple times). If you look here, you see your mountpoint is setup and goo…

No sound from airtime schedule (On-air light off)
What do you see when you type curl http://localhost:80/api/media-monitor-setup/format/json/api_key/your_api_key from your terminal?

Ok please tell me step-by-step what you are doing. There must be something obvious that is missing.

Weeks of solid behaviour then...off air
1.8.2 had a problem if there was a track less than 10 seconds long at the end of one show, and this track was tightky squeezed against the beginning of the next show.

Airtime uses Liquidsoap to send and encode its data to icecast. Here is liquidsoap documentation on selecting a different encoder: http://savonet.sourceforge.net/doc-svn/external_encoders.htm l

Airtime 2.0.0-beta1 install problem
Yes there is an old file that shouldn't exist anymore. The upgrade script takes care of problems like these, but since you are just switching between nightlies for the same "version" of Airtime, there are inconsistent problems like th…

Repo Upgrade problem
Hi Jeremy, This is an issue related to the first one (race condition). Please do the following: sudo rm -rf "/usr/lib/airtime/airtime_virtualenv" and then try the install again.

Hi Jeremy, We were able to recreate this issue a few hours ago. It seems to be related to a race-condition with ext4 filesystems. We are looking into this, and will have a fix asap. In the meantime, the workaround is to type sudo apt-…

We don't have support for doing this directly, but there is a work-around: If you wanted to flush all files you can just remove /srv/airtime/stor and any other "watched" directories you have defined. Airtime will automatically de…

Daniel, It was rejecting partial files, although not elegantly, because it couldnt read the id3 tag until much later. Later when it could read the tag, it was telling the server to update information about the file, but since the "create&q…

Haven't tried Dropbox, but it would be interesting if you tried it out and let us know. Should be as simple as adding a watched folder to a Dropbox subfolder and see what happens when syncing .

That's what I was afraid of. Wasn't sure how FTP transferred files, but looks like it keeps appending and closing it, which confuses media-monitor, since it never knows for sure when the file has completed.

Try dpkg -l | grep ftpd-ssl If that shows something, you are probably using that package.

Thanks got it. Initial try didn't show anything wrong. Perhaps copying over ftp does something different. What ftp server did you use?

Could you attach the entire log file. From what you provided, the file is being modified and this new information is being sent to the Airtime server, but it looks like the Airtime server was never aware the file existed in the first place. So may b…

Hi Sergei. Are you saying this only happens with FTP? What happens if you copy the file into that folder using basic copy or move commands like "cp" or "mv"?

Hi Chris, I took a look at the pypo.log, but it only goes back to 9am in the morning. Do you have anymore files in /var/log/airtime/pypo? The logs rotate to a new file after the current log reaches 1MB I believe. The liquidsoap log fi…
