it seems .htaccess is not working or missed to enable rewrite apache module: sudo a2enmod rewrite sudo /etc/init.d/httpd restart

to install airtime you need a debian/ubuntu machine with ssh/console root/sudo access please check airtime manual about installation: http://en.flossmanuals.net/airtime-en-2-0/automated-installation/

ln is a basic utility (like ls) and should be presented by default. Ask your hoster for that. It should be placed in /bin folder.

empty page means some php error. Check apache error.log file. I recommend using vps instead of shared hosting. I'm not sure that newscoop could be started on shared environment.
